When lighting for the first time allow your candle to burn for a minimum of 2 hours, long enough for the entire top layer to liquefy and extend to the edges of the jar. This avoids tunnelling (where only part of the wax melts and therefore candle waste).

Trim the wick to 5mm before each lighting, this is essential. It gives a clean, even burn, minimises soot and extends burn time. Either use wick trimmers or pinch the wick and gently pull upwards.

Burn on a flat, heat resistant surface for 2-4 hours at a time.

Keep your candle away from children, overhanging objects and pets.

Light your candle in a well ventilated room away from drafts.

Never leave your burning candle unattended.

The jar can become hot whilst the candle is burning, allow it to cool completely before handling or relighting.

Stop candle use when there is less than 10mm of wax left at the base.

The residual wick and wax easily wash out with hot, soapy water.
